What does a thriving workplace culture actually look and feel like - and how do leaders and teams create it with intent, not luck? In this 5-part mini-series, we unpack what really makes cultures come alive. From values and beliefs through to everyday attitudes and behaviours, we explore the power of “culture architects” — those often-unsung people who shape the vibe, and why stories shift beliefs far more effectively than posters on a wall. Along the way, we revisit the legendary Fish Philosophy and introduce practical tools like Notice, Choose, Act to help build trust and fairness, the twin foundations of any healthy workplace.
We also share our PEACE framework: Purpose, Explain, Accept, Collaborate and Engage to guide calmer, more productive conversations when tensions rise. We share tips for being your own CEO (Chief Energy Officer) : healthy boundaries, balance and emotional intelligence as ways to protect our energy, manage pressure and help the whole culture thrive. And when things turn toxic? We offer ways to stay grounded and professional even when others aren’t, recognising that fear, insecurity or burnout often sit beneath unhelpful behaviour.
In our final episode, we close with a reminder that culture isn’t built by policies or posters; it’s created every day by the people in it. When teams focus on connection & understanding, the result is a workplace that thrives.
